Messi and Miami have been busy with preseason contests, but it's time to get back in action for the start of the new campaign. The season-opener is coming on Feb. 22, with Chase Stadium set to hold a packed stadium. Will Miami come out on top?

When: Inter Miami vs. New York City CF

Where: Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Last season, things didn't end the way Messi, Luis Suarez and the rest of the veteran playmakers were hoping for, as an early exit in the postseason was recorded. There was strong belief that Miami could win the MLS Cup for the first time in team history.

However, Messi and Co. weren't able to get the job done. With that said, people are quite high about Miami's potential this year, with Messi of course leading the charge. There's no question that he remains one of the best players in the league.

Not only that, but the debate rages on as to whether or not he's the GOAT. Ronaldo of course has something to say about that, but everyone can appreciate the greatness these two have been able to deliver over the years.

It's sad to think about the fact that Messi, who has won multiple Champions League titles and one World Cup, is on the back-end of his career. Despite that, he's still looking sharp and he's going to keep scoring memorable goals for Miami and team owner David Beckham. What can we expect out of Miami in 2025?

The club's supporters can't wait to find out. Soon enough, Game 1 of the new campaign will get here and people will be following Messi and Co. closely. Will the season end with Messi lifting the MLS Cup trophy? That's what people all over Florida and Argentina are hoping for.
