Virgil van Dijk's birthday is just a reminder he's the best defender in the world

Liverpool centre-back Virgil van Dijk may be the most humble soccer superstar in the world. Even so, few out there can argue he's the best defender on the planet. Harry Maguire? Please, he doesn't even come close to van Dijk.
On Wednesday, the LFC stud is actually celebrating his 29th birthday. On his special day, let's honor the big man for everything he's done for Liverpool. He's truly one of a kind.

We're with the squad at today's final session...#BHALIV
Good ol' Virgil is a rock in the back for Liverpool. Thus far, he's helped LFC win the Premier League (this season!), the Champions League, a Super Cup, a UEFA Club World Cup and so much more.
On an individual level, van Dijk has been named UEFA Player of the Year and the Premier League Player of the Season. Defensively, he's the straw that stirs the drink for the Reds. He's also no stranger to scoring goals. Just ask Manchester United about that...
What a beautiful finish. Still in his 20s, van Dijk still has several more years playing at the ultimate level for Liverpool. How many more league titles can he help the Reds win?
We can't wait to find out. Cheers to you on your special day, Virgil!
