Ferran Torres was the man of the match for Man City.

Man City's Ferran Torres may have scored the PL Goal of the Year

What in the world did Ferran Torres just do for Manchester City?! That's surely what countless folks are asking themselves on Friday. In a showdown with Newcastle United, the Man City standout may have just scored the English Premier League Goal of the Season.

With the game tied at 1-1 late in the first half, Ilkay Gundogan delivered a ball into the box on a free kick. Torres then did the rest, scoring on a sensational flick.

Again, that's one HELL of a finish! Truly a Goal of the Season contender, as Torres essentially flung his leg up, made perfect contact and sent the ball into the back of the net to put his team up 2-1. City went on to win 4-3, with Torres recording a hat-trick.

If anything, this flick of a goal just represents how outstanding Manchester City FC has been this season. Earlier this week, the club locked in its third English Premier League title in the past four years thanks to Manchester United's loss to Leicester City at Old Trafford.

After previously winning the Carabao Cup too, City will look to bring home another title on May 29 in the Champions League Final against Chelsea FC. With a victory there, it'd really be the cherry on top of what's been a near-perfect campaign.

When other Premier League awards are handed out too, don't be surprised if this Torres strike indeed is honored as the Goal of the Season. It was simply that good.
