Could the rich get richer come next fall in the English Premier League? Hold on to your hats, folks. Per multiple reports, Liverpool has its eyes on French standout Ousmane Dembele, the 22-year-old forward for FC Barcelona.

The Reds are so interested in bringing him to the EPL, reports indicate Liverpool could make an offer in the $100 million range (90 million euros). Holy smokes.

You know Klopp and Co. wouldn't be getting ready to put this kind of money on the table if they didn't think Dembele could come in and make a monster difference for the club.

At the same time, how much better can LFC really get? Before league play was suspended over the COVID-19 pandemic, the Reds were the class of European football. The team stood alone at the top of the EPL standings with 82 points, 25 clear of Manchester City.

Through 29 matches, Liverpool had 27 wins, one draw against Manchester United and one loss to Watford. That's simply ridiculous. The Reds are at the finish line in capturing their first league title in 30 years. That is if the action resumes, of course.

While Dembele hasn't enjoyed a head-turning year for Barcelona (hamstring injury), his future is bright and he's got star power written all over him. Should he make his way to Anfield, Liverpool fans everywhere would be beyond pumped.
