This English Premier League news surely is big for MUFC, especially after they were slammed by Tottenham on Sunday. In a big English Premier League match for the English Premier League schedule, Tottenham Hotspur took down Man United 6-1 at Old Trafford.
In the Spurs win, United actually took a 1-0 lead early on thanks to a penalty from Bruno Fernandes, but Tottenham went on to score six unanswered goals. The pressure was of course put on United to finalize some deals after such an embarrassing showing.
They did that by signing Cavani, while also bringing in left back Alex Telles from Porto. Now, the team must wait and see if they'll be able to make a deal happen with Sancho. Adding Cavani, however, is exciting.
The veteran goal-scorer found the back of the net more than 200 times with PSG, becoming the first player to ever reach that mark. Now that he's headed to United, he's going to be looked at to score plenty of goals alongside Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and the other players up front.
Only time will tell if Cavani will be able to live up to the hype being put on him as he makes his move to Old Trafford.
