In the 76th minute, however, Kelechi Iheanacho sure made things interesting with a late goal past a diving Edouard Mendy. As soon as that brace came, the 10,000 fans at Stamford Bridge began to panic a bit.
Could an equalizer be coming? Thankfully, it did not and Chelsea was able to breathe easily knowing they were taking home the much-needed three points. Following the victory, Chelsea FC is now in third place with 67 points, while the Foxes are in fourth with 66 points.
This result was also massive for Liverpool (63 points), as they're three points behind Leicester City for fourth place, but have a game in hand. With a win over Burnley on Wednesday, LFC Would move up to fourth place because of goal differential.
This is setting up to be a THRILLING final day of EPL action on Sunday. Chelsea can secure a spot in the Top 4 with a win over Aston Villa. Meanwhile, Leicester City will face Tottenham and Liverpool will take on Crystal Palace.
Manchester City has already been crowned EPL champs, while Manchester United has locked in second place. Which teams will join them in the Champions League next season? Come Sunday, we'll have our answer to that question.
