Well, the board wasn't done there. According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea has also come to terms with Southampton for fellow midfielder Romeo Lavia. Look away Liverpool fans, as there are now two key targets that Chelsea has beaten Jurgen Klopp out for.

Goodness. The midfield is now going to look completely different for the Blues, as Caicedo, Lavia and Enzo Fernandez will be working together. Good luck to opposing teams trying to slow those guys down.
Lavia is a fantastic player and the same can be said for Caicedo. The Ecuadorian was nothing short of sensational for Brighton last season, which led to him receiving so much attention on the market.
Liverpool thought they were going to be able to get him to Anfield, but Chelsea had other ideas. The same could be said for Lavia, but Todd Boehly wasn't going to let him play for anyone else other than Chelsea FC.
Last Sunday, the Blues and Liverpool played at Stamford Bridge, with things ending in a 1-1 draw. Chelsea was able to showcase just how much potential they have, but their season is going to look far better with Caicedo and Lavia set to make their debuts soon.
There have been a lot of changes at The Bridge in recent seasons for Chelsea FC, but fans are excited about the future of the club. People can't stop talking about Caicedo and Lavia, and understandably so.
