Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani putting on a show in the ALCS/NLCS

Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani putting on a show in the ALCS/NLCS

It's that time of year where the best teams are one step away from reaching the World Series. That's right, only four squads are still left in contention, with the Yankees and Guardians meeting in the ALCS, while the Mets and Dodgers are going to battle in the NLCS.

Over in the American League, the Yankees hold a 2-1 lead over Cleveland. With two more wins, the Bronx Bombers will get back to the Fall Classic for the first time since 2009. Should that happen, they'll have Aaron Judge to thank, as he has recorded two memorable homers in the past few days.

Aaron Judge is hoping to lead the Yankees back to the World Series

In Game 2 vs. the Guardians, Judge belted a monster 2-run homer to seal the win for New York. Then in Game 3, Judge blasted another 2-run dinger in the top of the eighth to tie things up.

The Yankees would go on to lose that game, but they still hold a 2-1 series lead. With Game 4 coming on Friday night, NY is hoping to take a 3-1 lead and be one win away from moving on.

However, a loss would even things up at 2-2. We'll find out soon enough how things play out, but there will be plenty of eyes on Judge, who was sensational during the regular season.

Shohei Ohtani keeps looking like the best player in baseball

Over in the National League, how about the play of Shohei Ohtani? Time and time again, the slugger turns heads with some unreal homers. Such has been the case in the NLCS, as the lefty has made life a nightmare for the Mets. With LA up 3-1, Ohtani has been electric for Los Angeles.

When Ohtani put the pen to paper with the Dodgers, he did so with the dreams of one day winning the World Series with the NL West powerhouse. With LA up 3-1 on the Mets, they're getting ready to take on either the Yankees or Guardians with everything on the line.

What Ohtani has been able to get done this season has been out of this world. He's no question living up to his mammoth $700 million contract. A World Series win will only make things even sweeter for him.

Time will tell if he accomplishes that goal or not, but things are looking good for both the Dodgers and Yankees thanks to these two superstars.
